How I Can Help
Psychotherapy, counselling and personal development
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming. You may be struggling with anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional exhaustion or simply feel that something in your life needs to change.
You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You are welcome to come exactly as you are.
I offer individual psychotherapy for adults and children, as well as couples and family sessions.

Individual Psychotherapy for Adults
A safe space to understand yourself, explore difficult emotions and find new ways of dealing with life's challenges.
We can work together on:
Anxiety, panic attacks and persistent worries
Stress, emotional exhaustion and burnout
Trauma and difficult past experiences
Relationship and family difficulties
Low self-esteem and lack of confidence
Life transitions, loss and grief
Loneliness and feelings of disconnection
Psychosomatic difficulties
Addiction and patterns of behaviour you would like to change
Personal growth and self-understanding
Psychotherapy for Children
Children sometimes express their difficulties through behaviour, emotions or physical symptoms rather than words.
I offer a supportive and creative therapeutic environment where children can express themselves in ways that feel natural to them.
Depending on the child's age and individual needs, I use:
Therapeutic play
Art therapy and creative activities
Sandtray therapy
Music and expressive techniques
Emotion-focused and communication-based approaches
I can support children experiencing anxiety, fears, difficulties with emotional regulation, school-related stress, adaptation difficulties and psychosomatic symptoms.
Where appropriate, I also work in cooperation with parents to help them better understand and support their child.
Couples and Family Therapy
Relationships can be challenging, especially when communication breaks down or the same conflicts keep repeating.
Couples and family sessions offer an opportunity to understand different perspectives, improve communication and explore new ways of relating to one another.
We can work on:
Communication and recurring conflicts
Relationship crises and emotional distance
Trust and intimacy
Parenting disagreements
Family relationships and boundaries
Major life changes affecting the family
Coaching and Personal Development
Sometimes we are not looking for therapy but for support in moving forward.
Coaching provides a structured space to clarify your goals, recognise your strengths and develop practical strategies for personal or professional development.
It can be particularly useful when you are facing a career change, making important decisions, developing confidence or looking for a better balance in life.
Workshops and Psychoeducation
I also offer workshops and educational activities for organisations, schools and groups.
Topics can include emotional wellbeing, communication, assertiveness, self-confidence, stress management, bullying prevention and healthy relationships.
My workshops combine psychological knowledge with practical exercises and opportunities for personal experience.
About Me
Mgr. Lucie Kubínová, MBA
Psychotherapist | Counsellor | Coach
Hello, and welcome.
My name is Lucie Kubínová. I am a psychotherapist and counsellor working with adults and children in private practice and in cooperation with non-profit organisations.
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, change and a more fulfilling life. Sometimes, however, we need a safe space, someone who will genuinely listen, and professional support to help us find our way forward.
My therapeutic approach is primarily humanistic and person-centred. I draw inspiration from the work of Carl Rogers and believe that empathy, authenticity, acceptance and a trusting therapeutic relationship are essential foundations for meaningful change.
I aim to create a warm, respectful and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships and personal challenges at your own pace.
My Education and Professional Training
My professional background combines education in management and supervision with specialist training in psychotherapy and counselling.
Person-Centred Counselling: I completed professional counselling training in the United Kingdom at Lewisham College, following the LC-NCTA training pathway.
Psychodynamic Training: I have also undertaken a year of psychodynamic training, which broadened my understanding of unconscious processes, relationships and emotional patterns.
Strategic, Systemic and Communication-Based Psychotherapy: I am currently undertaking further professional training in strategic, systemic, cooperative and communication-oriented psychotherapy, including hypnotherapy.
Crisis Intervention: I have completed comprehensive training in crisis intervention.
Further Professional Development: I regularly participate in professional conferences, workshops and seminars, including topics such as trauma, PTSD, EMDR, mindfulness, cognitive behavioural approaches and creative therapeutic methods.
I previously worked within the British counselling environment and have experience of the BACP professional framework.
My Professional Experience
I have been working in the field of psychotherapy since 2019.
My professional experience includes private practice, work in a rehabilitation facility supporting people with substance dependencies, and cooperation with organisations supporting vulnerable women, children and families.
In addiction treatment, I worked as a therapist and key worker, combining individual therapeutic sessions with group work and creative approaches, including art therapy.
I have also worked with children and families experiencing difficult life circumstances. This experience has strengthened my interest in understanding the emotional world of children and supporting families through challenging periods.
Over the years, I have worked with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, emotional distress, addiction and low self-esteem.
My Therapeutic Philosophy
I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
Every person has a different story, personality and way of experiencing the world. I therefore adapt my work to your individual needs, combining conversation with creative and experiential techniques when appropriate.
Above all, I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process. We work together to understand what is happening in your life, discover new perspectives and find ways to move towards meaningful change.
I offer sessions in English and Czech, and can also work in German where appropriate.
